Teenager drowns in Kingston Harbour

A 14-year-old youth who went swimming with friends, drowned in the Kingston Harbour, downtown Kingston yesterday. He has been identified as Harry Jones of 6 Pink Lane, downtown Kingston.

Information from the CCN is that about 3:30 p.m., Jones was reportedly among a group of boys swimming at the Harbour, when he got into difficulties and drowned before help could reach him. The police and JDF Coast Guard were summoned and his body retrieved. The City Centre Police are investigating.
